All recorded in the legendary Air Studios in London. Spitfire Audio has made many orchestral libraries, but this has to be one of their top achievements.įeaturing 16 1st Violins, 14 2nd Violins, 12 Violas, 10 Cellos & 8 Basses sampled with over 175 articulations, including 59 shorts, 94 longs, and 5 legato patches. If you want strings with a modern and cutting edge sound, and the ability to create hybrid sounds from creative sound design tools…then NOVO might be just the library for you. Recorded at the famous Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. NOVO includes both traditional instrument presets, as well as a sound designer section, as well as a loop designer. NOVO Modern StringsĪ strings library with a modern sound, and with the added ability to design and shape the strings to pads, pulses, or anything you desire. If you need an all in one string library if you need a classic hollywood style string ensemble, recorded with a fairly dry sound in a scoring stage, with all the essential articulations in one package…well then Cinematic Studio Strings is a great choice.
I absolutely love the sound of the Joshua Bell violin but am wondering from an economic standpoint if it would be better to get the ISS Bundle from Embertone. Due to the expense involved, I am first focusing on strings. There are several categories of instruments I need-solo strings, solo wind instruments, and finally some solo brass. I have Native Instruments Komplete 11 as well as the midi controller NI Komplete Kontrol 61-key MK2. I am now exploring solo VST instruments that will raise the bar of musicality and soulfulness of the podcast. Particularly problematic are the string and brass instruments.
#Free string vsts for logic pro#
I have been using Logic Pro instruments which are very limiting. I have composed music for the harp for many years (the dead tree, physical harp!) I am not interested in big, orchestral sounds, but need to create music that is much more intimate.
I give you this information as context for the kind of environment in which I will be using instruments. I wear many hats as interviewer and producer as well composing the music used intermittently before, during and after each episode. The show consists of intimate interviews with people who have fascinating backstories. The tagline: Exploring the stories that make us who we are. I produce a podcast called The Meg Robinson Show.
I am a composer and am using Logic Pro X.
